Harraga – those who burn their lives / الحراكة – أولئك الذين يحرقون حياتهم

يعيش الصبية المغاربة عماد (15) ونور الدين (17) ووليد (18) وحمزة (17) في كهف تحت المنارة في مليلية. كل ليلة يقتحمون الميناء محاولين الصعود إلى السفن المغادرة إلى البر الرئيسي الإسباني. في ظل الصخور، أنشأوا مجتمعًا صغيرًا – له تسلسله الهرمي وأناشيده وقواعده الخاصة. لتمضية الوقت، يتصلون بأمهاتهم عبر الفيديو أو يصورون أنفسهم وهم يطاردون من قبل الشرطة. يتتبع الفيلم الصبية لمدة 5 سنوات. من حياتهم في الكهوف إلى محاولاتهم للهروب إلى إسبانيا. يطلقون على أنفسهم: الحراكة – أولئك الذين يحرقون جوازات السفر والحدود وحياتهم

Les garçons marocains Imad (15), Nourdine (17), Walid (18) et Hamza (17) vivent dans une grotte sous le phare de Melilla. Chaque nuit, ils pénètrent dans le port pour tenter de grimper sur les bateaux en partance pour l’Espagne. À l’ombre des rochers, ils ont créé une micro-société, avec leurs propres hiérarchies, leurs chants et leurs règles. Pour passer le temps, ils téléphonent à leur mère en vidéo ou se filment en train d’être poursuivis par la police. Le film suit les garçons pendant 5 ans. De leur vie dans les grottes à leurs tentatives de fuite vers l’Espagne. Ils se font appeler : Harragas – ceux qui brûlent les passeports, les frontières, leur vie.

The Moroccan boys Imad (15), Nourdine (17), Walid (18) and Hamza (17) live in a cave under the lighthouse in Melilla. Every night they break into the harbour trying to climb onto the ships leaving for the Spanish mainland. In the shadow of the rocks, they created a micro-society – with their own hierarchies, chants and rules. To pass the time, they phone their mothers on video or film themselves being chased by the police. The film follows the boys for 5 years. From their life in the caves to their escape attempts to Spain. They call themselves: Harragas – those who burn the passports, the borders, their lives.
