A Picture to Remember est un essai sur le long voyage d’une famille à travers la guerre. Il relate la quête d’un moyen de gérer les pertes terribles et récurrentes subies par trois générations de femmes ukrainiennes – celles de la réalisatrice, de sa mère et de sa grand-mère. C’est une exploration émouvante de l’identité, de l’héritage et du pouvoir de la narration pour nous connecter en ces temps de bouleversements.
A Picture to Remember is an essayistic account of a family’s long journey through the war. It chronicles the search for a way to handle terrible and recurring losses experienced by three generations of Ukrainian women – those of the director, her mother, and her grandmother. It’s a moving exploration of identity, heritage, and the power of storytelling to connect us in times of upheaval.
